Steve Noble

Billed as Peter Brötzmann’s special project, the four-day Krakow Jazz Autumn (Nov. 5-8/15) saw the German reedman perform with a changing and re-forming array of international musicians: Steve Noble (drums); William Parker(bass); drummer Hamid Drake; Joe McPhee (trumpet/saxophone); Peeter Uuskyla (drums); Per-Åke Holmlander (tuba); Paal Nilssen-Love (drummer) and Heather Leigh (pedal steel guitar). Most concerts were held at the Alchemia Club, with one at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. Reviewed by Ken Waxman.
